This visa allows your loved ones, such as your partner or children, to stay with you in Australia while you focus on your studies.

A valid student visa should be in your name.
Only your partner and children can be included.
Declare all family details in your original student visa application or, if the applicant joined
your family before your student visa was granted, their details must be provided in your primary student visa application.
Children must be unmarried and below 18 years of age.
A valid Overseas student health cover (OSHC) for the entire visa duration must be held by the dependents.
Financial stability for supporting your family for a year should be demonstrated.

Visa Conditions

8201: Study should not exceed three months.
8104: Work is restricted. You can start working only after the primary student visa holder starts their course. Only 40 hours a fortnight of work is allowed. Exceptions are there for masters or doctoral degree courses.
8501: Maintain valid health insurance. This mostly refers to the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
8516: You should continuously meet the eligibility criteria.
